Ipoh visit

Ravi's elder brother, Morgan, is halfway on his 2 week vacation from the US; he'll fly back by Saturday evening (Nov. 3)

For this weekend, the brothers decided to visit their cousins, Papa and Puspa, at Ipoh.  It's also like a Deepavali visit as they both won't here in Malaysia then.  Deepavali is the Indian culture's Festival of Lights, which falls on November 13.  Morgan will be back in the US, while Ravi will be travelling to Costa Rica during Deepavali.

Letting Go...

My little monkey is now a toddler so lately I've started letting go of Sarah's baby stuff.  Her Sweet Cherry white crib, Fisher Price crib mobile (sold!), Bumbo seat (sold!), Chico baby monitor and Graco stroller are all up for (online) sale.  Since we live in an apartment,  we need the space that these items currently occupy.

I was able to sell Sarah's Bumbo seat last week through mudah.com.my.  'Twas my first online transaction!  The Bumbo seat originally costs RM249, I sold it at RM150 plus RM16 postage.  A Chinese lady from Sabah got it.

Waiting now for any takers on the rest of the items.  If I don't hear from any interested parties by end of the month, I will have to lower the prices some more.   If only we were in the Philippines, these items could easily be given to family, relatives or friends.

Sarah on her Bumbo seat - SOLD!
Chico baby monitor
Fisher price crib mobile (animals) - SOLD!

Graco stroller.  As soon as Sarah started walking, this was hardly used.  She preferred walking and being carried.
Sweet Cherry crib.  Used mostly as a playpen during daytime.  Sarah sleeps with us on our bed.

A Chinese wedding dinner

I attended my third Chinese wedding dinner here at Penang.  It was Foong Yee's wedding dinner last September 28.  I brought Sarah and Esther along, as Ravi didn't want to go.  Our table was unfortunately very near the loud speakers, Sarah would cover her ears from time to time.  We didn't complete the full course, as we were quite full by the 6th dish.  It was also getting late, so we left at 10pm.

Adventure Zone

It was Sarah's first time and Reena's second time to visit Golden Sand's Adventure Zone.  Big slides, play modules, arcades and kiddie play areas are what's in store for kids at Adventure Zone.

The girls tried the slide and both got scared, teary-eyed frightened after they slid down!  I was able to convince Reena to go a second time.  No such luck for Sarah, who keeps saying "no".

We had the place to ourselves for most of the 2-hour period.  So the monkeys enjoyed their time at the play kitchen and the ball zone.

Amazed by the floating balls.

Pretend slide.  We would 'walk' up the slide a bit and get her to slide down.

Look at Reena's scared-y face!  This was her second slide... still scared.

Beach bumming

We went twice to Batu Ferringhi beaches last month, September.  The first was an unplanned beach stopover, the second trip a better planned one.

September 5, somewhere along Batu Ferringhi. The girls didn't have any swimwear but that didn't stop them from enjoying the sea, sun and sand.

Reena with her seashell.  She loves collecting them while at the beach but soon forgets about them when we reach home.
The monkey busy running around.
The sisters made a sand dome with flowers on top.
Happy with running the sand through her fingers.

Shy laugh, we asked her to take out her shorts :)

September 26, at Miami Beach along Batu Ferringhi.  This time, we were better prepared.  Swimwear, beach toys, bubble gun, sunblock, mat, cooler and snacks!
